I was ridiculously young when I had my first kiss. But because it was a new sensation that was rather pleasurable, I couldn’t wait to get more of it. It also made me feel like a grownup. What a ridiculous notion. But now he’s one of my closest friends, and I’m glad that a good friend, and a stand up guy was the boy who took my first kiss.

This movie moves me to tears multiple times every time I see it. Watching this movie always restores my faith in God, and makes me realize how lucky I am. My life would be so impossibly different if I were to lose an arm, or a leg, or a hand, or a foot. And I know that I would not be able to be half as gracious as Bethany Hamilton was. It also reminds me of how much I love to travel, seeing the beautiful beaches of Hawaii.
